ABOUT XAVIER FANE

My passion and awe for the natural world were first awakened in the Pyrenees Mountains in my native land of Spain, and they have continued to grow in my present-day home of Crested Butte, in the Colorado Rockies.

I have been fortunate to have spent the last fifteen years as a professional writer and photographer. Both these endeavors are the result of many years of playing hard in the mountains, traveling to faraway corners of the world, and spending countless nights under the stars. Through my work I try to express many things, but mainly I feel it to be a window, albeit small, into the wonder of life.
